Not a number that jumps around. Sangat listens to your beats, throws out the flams and the ornaments, and gives you one honest verdict. Pause and it holds; come back at a new tempo and it opens a new section. It even tells you how you drifted, in words: started 92, pushed to 98.

Any MIDI keyboard works with nothing to set up. Turn on the microphone and it names the key and raga of what you sing and keeps the recording. Turn on rhythm and it follows claps, konnakol, a guitar or a kit, with nothing transcribed.
One button. Every riff becomes a named region on its own track at its own true tempo, with your voice recording lined up beside it. It only ever adds, and one undo takes the whole lot back out.
Sangat is in early access because a listening tool has to earn your trust in your room, on your instrument, in your music. The engine ships with 124 checks behind it and it is signed and notarised by Apple, but tempo, key and raga detection are judgement calls, and I want them tested by real players before I call it 1.0. No, and there is no record button. Sangat listens the whole time it is running, keeps everything, and closes an idea by itself when you stop playing. There is also a Grab the last 30 seconds button for the thing you just played and cannot repeat.
No. Sangat has no networking of any kind. Your playing, your recordings and your session history stay in your own folders and are never uploaded anywhere.
Yes. Every riff exports as a MIDI file with the tempo embedded, and as MusicXML, so Logic, Ableton, Cubase and notation software all open it. REAPER additionally gets a one-click live handoff, because that is the DAW this was built alongside.
No. Sangat only listens. It never takes over an audio device, never changes your system input or output, and never touches a running DAW.
The price is set at 49 US dollars, one time, and checkout opens shortly. Anyone who comes in during early access keeps that price for good and never pays for an update.
